Appliance Repair Today
When it comes to appliance repair in California and the surrounding areas of San Diego I recently came across a lot of customers who had burned out control boards and grounded out units from their refrigerators, washers and dryers. When we first buy a television set for our home the first thing I notice is that the retailers will swear up and down to try and sell you a surge protector for that tv in case anything goes wrong during a storm or power outage. However, I also notice that they never recommend selling one for our home appliances.
Due to the advent of energy efficiency and modern technology most appliances are very tech savvy for the home owner. As a result, most manufactureres are staying abreast of the trend by creating and inventing smart appliances that virtually will do almost everything for you by selecting water temperature, reading the water levels, how much heat to be applied and even refrigerators that tell you when your food needs to be replenished! All these things are accomplished by the use of small integrated circuit boards that operate your appliances.
I notice in almost most cases every customer that I have come to be acquainted with is missing that most important element in protecting their investment without knowing it. Just recently, our company received several calls within the San Diego area that were related to control boards In many appliance units that failed as a result of a power outages and the repair bills were anything short of a couple hundred dollars.
Here is my suggestion, buy yourself a surge protector for each individual surge protector for your appliances that you know for sure that it is operated electronically by a circuit board. Better yet, for those appliances that were directly hard wired in, for instance, a built in oven it is probably the better idea to have a qualified electrician come to your home and install a surge protector at the circuit breaker box in your home. That way, it will protect everything that is plugged in in your home. For just a couple hundred dollars I think you will the see the potential of having the safe feeling that your appliances are protected. I recently had an electrician come and place a surge protector at my circuit breaker and I think it is a fabulous way of knowing that I can sleep better at night knowing that my appliances are taken care of.
So, if you read this dont wait. Go out and either buy individual surge protectors or call an electrian and get it done before its too late. The cost is well worth the trouble.
